Compared to existing biological dressings (liquid dressings and gel dressings), thermosensitive biomaterials represent a revolutionary advancement. Their ability to transform from liquid to gel fundamentally solves the problem of effectively maintaining a moist healing environment for wounds, significantly accelerating wound healing while reducing the occurrence of infections, inflammatory responses, and bleeding. Because their gelation process is a natural gel, their internal spaces and channels are preserved, allowing them to carry drugs, cells, and other small molecules, enabling their slow release and greatly improving the duration of drug action. In clinical treatment and research, they are frequently used as sustained-release carriers, mixed with therapeutic drugs, to further enhance wound treatment efficiency.


Clinical efficacy:

1. Significantly shortens the wound healing period. For example, a second-degree burn wound that traditionally requires 20 days to heal can heal in 11 days using 'Smart Protective Gel' (with a total of 3 dressing changes).



2. Significant results for wounds that have been unable to heal or improve for a long time. For example: A patient with a failed prosthesis implantation developed a secondary infection, resulting in a wound that failed to heal and had a noticeable subcutaneous cavity for over two months. After using 'Smart Protective Gel' for four days, the wound significantly shrank, and after four weeks, the wound and subcutaneous cavity completely healed.



3. Diabetic foot with burrowing and infection, with no significant improvement after 2 months of treatment. After 3 dressing changes with 'Smart Protective Gel', the inflammation subsided, blood circulation improved significantly, and the wound approached healing after 7 days.



A moist healing environment is currently considered the ideal environment for wound healing.
