Evaluation of the thermosensitive biomaterial "Smart Protect Gel" combined with laser treatment for acne scars

On May 18, Cui Lei, director of the Department of Medical Cosmetology at Yichang Central People's Hospital, shared her graduate thesis, 'A Preliminary Evaluation of Thermosensitive Chitosan Gel Combined with Laser Treatment for Acne Scars.'

Control group: 'Smart Protect Gel' alone; Experimental group: 'Smart Protect Gel' combined with botulinum toxin liposomes.

After fractional laser treatment for acne scars, a control group and an experimental group were used on both sides of the wound. This was a bilateral comparison of the same patient.

Research findings:

By leveraging the sustained-release and transdermal properties of 'Smart Protect Gel,' the therapeutic effects of botulinum toxin liposomes can be further enhanced. The combined use of other related therapeutic agents is also anticipated, representing a new trend and direction in the treatment of facial acne scars.
